YouTube has recently launched a new feature called "Members Only Shorts" that allows creators to share exclusive short-form videos with their paying subscribers, adding more value to paid memberships by providing additional content.
YouTube Partner Program Creators who create shorts will have the opportunity to earn revenue from ads viewed between videos in the Shorts Feed.
To be eligible, creators with 1,000 subscribers and 10 million eligible Shorts views in the past 90 days can apply for the YouTube Partner Program if they are not already in it. Once approved, creators can review the relevant agreement and activate Shorts monetization to start generating revenue.
Revenue sharing applies specifically to content viewed through the Shorts player and within the Shorts Feed. Creators will keep 45% of the total revenue allocated to them, regardless of whether they use music in their Shorts. The revenue will be distributed based on the number of views each creator's Shorts get in each country.
YouTube Shorts allows creators to create and share short videos, which can help increase engagement and potentially boost watch time and subscription growth. The platform provides revenue sharing opportunities for eligible creators and exclusive support to help grow their channels.
